New Chesaning Township master plan adopted

CHESANING TWP. – After more than one year of discussion and hard work, the Chesaning Township Planning Commission completed its update of the 20-year master plan, complete with new maps.

The Chesaning Township Board approved the township’s new master plan during its Aug. 2 meeting.

Supervisor Bob Corrin said, “It’s a very detailed document; well done. Thanks to the planning commission for their hard work.”

Trustee Pete Hemgesberg said, “I read it twice.” It’s a huge undertaking.

Having an updated master plan is necessary to apply for most grants, especially state and federal.
