Montrose wants Moore

Dr. Linden Moore chosen as next superintendent

Linden “Bo” Moore Linden “Bo” Moore MONTROSE – Dr. Linden “Bo” Moore has gone from student, to faculty to administration and now superintendent of Montrose Community Schools. On Tuesday, May 8, the Montrose Community Schools Board of Education unanimously chose Moore to serve as superintendent of schools.

Moore said, “I am humbled by the opportunity. This district has meant so much to me and my family. Montrose Community Schools is an excellent district, and I feel fortunate to be a part of it.”

During the interview process, Moore said, “I’ve spent 13 years in the district, including two years in the middle school.”

Kuehn-Haven Middle School Principal Rhonda Barber said, “Dr. Moore has the passion for Montrose Community Schools that will create a positive culture for our students, staff, and families. I am confident in his ability to move us forward in the years to come.”

Even though he’s been hired to serve as superintendent, he still has to wrap up the school year at the high school.

Carter Elementary School Principal Cassandra Jackson said, “Dr. Moore is not the type of guy to leave loose ends. I look forward to the new leadership. Dr. Moore has a tremendous passion for this community and will do his best to ensure that the students of Montrose are serviced appropriately.”
