Community Ties thanks for prom support

Dear Editor,

The staff and program participants here at Community Ties South would like to say thank-you for coming to our “Under the Sea” themed prom on May 13, 2105. Thank you for interviewing individuals to see what their favorite part of the prom was. We would especially like to thank those that made the beautiful prom possible with their time and decorations. Thanks go to the students of the St. Charles Student Council, Jane Drexler, Michelle Schroeder and Trina Kohagen. Without their help, prom would not have been possible.

Diamond Lynx season was a success

Dear Editor,

The Diamond Lynx Board of Directors would like to express our sincere thanks to The Chesaning Knights of Columbus, St. Michael’s Church of Maple Grove, all of the coaches, grounds crew, umpires, concession workers and parents for their support this season. Because of your generosity, we were once again able to allow over 300 kids participate in our youth baseball and softball programs.

A special thank you to Al Wright for handing out the medals and trophies, and braving the heat with that black tuxedo; Mary Jane Krupp for running the concessions and taking care of the umpires; and especially Caleb Belanger for scheduling the umpires and being an excellent umpire.

We would also like to wish Caleb well as he starts his next phase of his life in the Coast Guard. Good luck and thank you for your service here as well as for our country, you will be missed. Thank you all.

Guettler benefit support appreciated

Dear Editor,

We would like to say a huge thank you to the Mid Michigan Old Gas Tractor Association for sponsoring a benefit truck/tractor pull on June 20. The benefit was for David “Cookie “ Guettler who passed away very unexpectedly on Feb. 16 from a virus that attacked his heart.

We cannot put into words how grateful we are to all of you that helped, pulled or just came to watch. It was truly amazing to see so many people having such a great time.

The monetary donations that were given will be used for things that his baby girl will need when she is born in August.

Thank you again and may God bless each and every one of you.
