Rehmann Health Center announces activity schedule for month of June

The following services will be offered in June at the Rehmann Health Center, 147 S. Saginaw Street in Chesaning.

WIC clinics will be held on the first and third Tuesdays, June 3 and 17, from 9 to 4 p.m. New clients, transfers and those due for re-certification may schedule an appointment by calling (989) 758-3733 and specifying the Chesaning clinic. Walk-ins are welcome to learn more about the supplemental food program provided for pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants and children (ages 1-5) who are eligible.

Immunization clinics will be held on Wednesdays, June 11 and 25 from 9 to 11:15 a.m. on a walk-in basis. Call the Health Center at (989) 845-3911 to verify which insurance companies are accepted. Immunization record updates can be provided at the time of service. Flu shots are still available for children and adults. The shingles shot (Zostavax) for adults is available and no prescription is required.

Tuberculosis testing is available. Call the Health Center at (989) 845-3911 for dates and times.

Counseling services for children, adults and families are being provided by a counselor from the Westlund Guidance Clinic. For information and appointment, call (989) 793-4790 and specify the Chesaning Clinic.

Dental care for children ages 4-19 is available. Services include preventative care, fluoride treatments and cleaning. For appointment, call (989) 758-3835 and request an appointment at the Rehmann Health Center in Chesaning.

Women’s Health Services (birth control) will be held on Monday, June 9 and 23 from 9 to 11:15 a.m. Birth Control services are based on a sliding fee scale and services are provided regardless of ability to pay.

Adult dental care is available at the Health Center for Saginaw County residents who qualify. The service is provided through the St. Mary’s Center of Hope. For more information and the qualification guidelines, call the Rehmann Health Center at (989) 845- 3911.

Water testing kits and DHS applications are available at the Health Center. For more information on any of the above services call the clinic, Monday through Friday, at (989) 845-3911.
