To earn this degree the recipients had to complete at least 180 hours of systematic school instruction in agriculture education, have demonstrated at least 5 procedures of parliamentary law, and earned and productively invested at least $150 or contributed at least 45 hours toward their supervise agricultural experience program (SAE), as well as many other criteria.

The New Lothrop FFA Chapter also held its Greenhand Degree Ceremony on Wednesday evening, Dec. 18, 2013. Twenty-eight New Lothrop FFA members received their Greenhand degrees. To achieve this degree members had to learn much of the organization’s history, they had to learn the FFA Creed, as well as have plans for a Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) project. This ceremony was held by the New Lothrop FFA Senior Officer Team.

The event was attended by many community members, staff members, administrators, as well as many proud parents.
