CHARLES – The St. Charles Skits and Drama Club will present Neil Simon’s “The Female Odd Couple” on May 11, 12 and 13 at the school cafetorium.

The play follows Simon’s classic Odd Couple, with a twist, as the two main characters are women. The presentation follows the original story line, but instead through the viewpoint of two divorcees, the neatfreak Florence and sloppy Olive. The play is intended for older audiences, as some content may be too mature for young viewers.

“One of the hardest challenges is that it is a big part for the two leads,” said co-director Nick Hare. “Every character plays a part, but the two leads have a lot to say.”

Hare and co-director John Ostrander said the cast has done nice work putting together the farce comedy, despite the challenges.

The curtain opens May 11 and 12 at 7 p.m., with a Mother’s Day matinee on May 13 at 2 p.m. Tickets are on sale at the door for $7 each.
