The Adult Winter Reading Program will begin on Monday, Jan. 17. All you have to do is read a book and fill out a slip for each to enter in some fabulous drawings. Some prizes includes: a membership to Full Moon Fitness, a one hour massage, a Starbucks gift card and much more!

Toddler Time - A story-sharing program for children between 20 months and 36 months of age. This is a lap-sit program where each child must have an adult with them. This program runs six weeks. The Monday sessions will be held Jan. 10 – Feb. 14 at 10:30 a.m. each day. This session is limited to 10 toddlers. Please call the library at (989) 845-3211 to reserve your spot. The theme for this session will be bears.

Story Hour - Crafts, stories and snacks for children ages 3-5. This program runs six weeks. The Tuesday sessions will be limited to 10 children and will be held Jan. 11 – Feb. 15 at 10:30 a.m. The Thursday sessions will be limited to 10 children and will be held Jan. 13 – Feb. 17 at 10:30 a.m. Please call the library at (989) 845-3211 to reserve your spot. The theme for this session will be bears.

Book Discussion Group is reading A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick. We will be meeting this Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. Stop in and pick up a copy to enjoy. Bring a friend; there will be yummy refreshments!

The Winter Reading Program for all ages started on Monday, Jan. 10, and will end on Saturday, Feb. 5. Please stop by the library to register for the Winter Reading Program.

Winter Story time will start on Tuesday, Jan. 25. All classes are limited to 12 students.

· Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. – Kindergarten thru Third Grade

· Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. – Ages 2 thru Preschool

· Thursday at 10:30 a.m. – Age 2 thru Preschool

Please call or stop by the library to register your child for story time.

The St. Charles District Library Board will meet on Sunday, Feb. 6, at 4 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

If the St. Charles District Library will be closed due to inclement weather, the closing information will be posted on WNEM TV 5 and WJRT ABC 12.

Our hours of operation are: Monday – Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Teen Book Club will meet on Thursday, Jan. 20 at 3 p.m. at the Jennings Memorial Library. The club will be discussing City of Bones by Cassandra Clare for the January book. There is no cost to participate.

Jennings Memorial Library will be hosting “Runescape Rendezvous” on Tuesday, Jan. 25 at 3 p.m. The library is dedicating three hours to this multiplayer online role playing game. Come and explore the fictional world of Gielinor, a medieval fantasy realm. The event is free but participants must have a library card. Light refreshments will be provided.
