City Of Montrose | The Tri County Citizen tricountycitizen PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE FOR THE CITY OF MONTROSE The Montrose City Planning Commission has received an application and will hold a public hearing for the purpose of receiving public comments on the proposed rezoning of a parcel of land which is located in Section 17 of the City. The parcel is located on the southwest corner of N. Saginaw and Hickory Streets and is known as 119 N. Saginaw Street, parcel 60-17-581-012. Further being described as follows: 60-17-400-038, DESCRIBED AS A PARCEL OF LAND BEG S ½ OF LOTS 5 & 6 BLK A VILLAGE (CITY) OF MONTROSE The proposed rezoning would change the zoning classification of the above-mentioned parcel from a Central Business District (CBD) to Single Family Residential (SF-1). The proposed use of the property pending final approval of the rezoning would be for the current owner to donate property and building to local non-profit as a low-income ADA compliant single-family housing option. The intent of Single-Family Residential District is to provide an environment primarily for single-family dwellings on older platted city lots and other compatible related facilities which serve the residents in the district. This includes single-family dwellings including manufactured homes, state-licensed residential care facilities, foster care homes, essential public services, public open space, accessory building/structures and uses customarily incidental to any of the above permitted uses. Under Section 19.5 of the City’s Zoning Ordinance a special public hearing will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 7:00 p.m., in the City Hall at 139 S. Saginaw Street., Montrose MI. 48457. A map of the proposed rezoning may be examined at the City Hall during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The purpose of this notice is to give you an opportunity to express your views in support of or in opposition to the rezoning. You may appear on your own behalf, an attorney may assist you, you may authorize another person to represent you or you may express your views in writing. Any written communication must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday October 11, 2018 at the City Hall or must be presented to the Planning Board at the date and time of the hearing.
